A aerofoil is a shape designed for uplift of aeroplanes. The shape so designed that the velocity of wind from the upper half and lower half of the shape is different. As the velocity of wind on upper half is more the pressure there reduces and the pressure at the lower end increases due to low speed wind. hence the aerofoil gets upper lift.
